As the leader and driving force of Financial Exit Planning, Joe directs the company with a clear vision, focus and market-leading presence. His education, results-oriented work ethic and leadership talent poises Financial Exit Planning to become an industry leader.

He heads the transaction design of merger, acquisitions and management consulting of financial turnarounds for their clients. Joe was an executive officer with CV Industries, HON Industries, Kimball International, Harpers Inc, Shaw Walker Inc, and Haworth Inc. prior to forming Financial Exit Planning, Inc.

His responsibilities ranged in positions of President to Executive Vice President. He started his career with Steelcase Inc as a mechanical engineer and moved into being part of their team that assimilated their acquired companies profitably. Joe has been a chief executive for privately held and publicly owned manufacturing, marketing, distribution and retail companies ranging in annual sales from $325 million to $1.8 billion.

In the companies he held executive officer positions, he lead operations, information technology, acquisitions and divestitures, which has equipped him with the knowledge to evaluate, negotiate, market, sell and buy companies with the insight of completing over 12 transactions between $15 million and $165 million. He performed turnarounds of eight divisions ranging in sales from $72 million to $230 million and divested four divisions from the portfolios of the holding companies where he was the chief executive. Joe also has negotiated the purchase of many service companies, retailers and manufacturing companies ranging in annual sales from $25 million to $140 million while he held executive officer positions.

He has created strategic alliances and joint ventures with Japanese, Philippines, German and French owned companies with US firms. In addition, he has headed the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, People Soft and Mann Mann X. This included supply chain management with joint ventures and supplies of foreign companies through EDI and the Internet.

Joe's back ground as an executive and education make him uniquely qualified to identify the value proposition for the seller of a business to get the business sold and the ability to help buyers determine how to finance the purchase of a company. He has a MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University. He has received awards from IBM, Andersen Consulting, State of Washington and State of Idaho for achievement of excellence in technology and making deals. Joe helped buyers and sellers work with state governments, universities and the federal government in the transition of ownership of the companies while maintaining or improving profitably.
